Vacant and tenanted residential and commercial properties are set to tempt investors at property consultants Eddisons’ next auction at Elland Road Stadium in Leeds on September 10.

Among the 62 lots due to go under the hammer are a former fast food takeaway and apartment and a former garden centre.

In Hartlepool, a vacant Chinese takeaway unit and three-bedroom apartment in Sydenham Road will be included in the auction with a guide price of £35,000 to £40,000.

In Billingham, the former Sir Plants A Lot garden centre, on a 3.7 acre site, is guided at £150,000 plus.

The Sandy Lane West property includes greenhouses and open land and has lapsed planning consent for an agricultural worker’s dwelling.

Robert Limbert, director and auctioneer at Eddisons, said: “There may be some real bargains to be had and we expect a high volume of interest and bidding activity.”
