Expanding Peterlee firm could add to its workforce
Automotive Solutions, which is mechanic Richard Martin’s business, re-located from Shotton Colliery to the North West Industrial Estate in Peterlee.
Two and a half years after the move, Richard has taken the lease on a second unit and indicated that more good news culd be on the way.

Hide AdHe said: “The best thing we did was moving onto the business park as it’s really enabled me to take the business to the next level.
“Things are showing no signs of slowing down either and we’ve been running out a space for a while, so taking the additional space makes sense.
“It will enable me to expand the business even more and potentially add to the team.”
Richard now employs four people, including his wife Lisa who is managing the administration and accounts for the company, and apprentice Jamie Fisher.

Hide AdJamie, 19, said: “I was over the moon to be offered the apprenticeship because this is what I want to do so it’s a really good opportunity for me.
“I was nervous at first but I am fine now, Richy helped me to fit in really well. It is great.”
Jamie is currently studying an NVQ in motor vehicle maintenance at Durham New College.
