Florist blossoms
SINGLE mum Natalie Mullen is much more than just a budding entrepreneur.
The fully-trained florist runs her own business called Wild Rose, which is now operating out of a new home - in the Hartlepool Enterprise Centre, in Brougham Terrace.
It's a positive move for Natalie who formerly had a shop in the Fens area of town and loves the extra space her new unit has afforded her.
Natalie, 30, only went into business five years ago after spending the previous five years bringing up her son Finlay, now approaching 10, on her own.
Once Finlay had reached the age of five and started school, it was time for Natalie to start pursuing her dream.
She said: "I had trained as a florist when I left school. The lady who trained me had already set up Wild Rose and she could not keep it up. I ended up taking over from her."
The move to the Enterprise Centre happened earlier this year. But the new premises includes an area where Natalie can talk to clients and discuss what they want.
"It is the space I need for a proper consultation," she added.
"The centre is such a great place because of the support available."
Natalie mainly caters for events such as weddings and funerals.
"It is going away from being a day to day shop," she went on.
"I am a bespoke florist, and no two of my bouquets are the same. They are intended to be individual."
Another plus for Natalie's business is the courier service she offers to clients.
