ENTREPRENEURS who want to get that extra edge in business have an ideal event to look forward to.
The next meeting of the Women What Do networking group in Hartlepool will be held on Friday, October 11. It will take a look at how image can be all-important in industry.
Women What Do is an exclusive group for female entrepreneurs in the Hartlepool area.
A spokesman for the organisation said: “Getting ahead in business is a constant challenge. How you look, your business looks and how it efficiently it operates are all incredibly important if you are to be successful in your venture.”
Business representatives will talk about marketing, public relations and finance. There will also be a chance to network and get a free portrait image for your portfolio.
The session is titled Get the professional edge to your business and runs from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
It will be held at the Centre for Yoga and Wellbeing, in Park Road, Hartlepool. The cost of taking part is £5 for members or £10 for non-members and the admission fee is payable on the door.
Women What Do was formed for female entrepreneurs to get together in an informal atmosphere and discuss common issues and share ideas over wine and nibbles.
It is open to women who own or manage a business; are self-employed or freelance; work in their family business; are managers in voluntary sector organisations including charities and social enterprises; work within the public sector but who have an interest in economic development and/or business issues; or are thinking about setting up a business or are in the process of setting up a business.
