A Hartlepool company is hoping to add up to ten people to its workforce within a year.
Advanced Retail Solutions supplies major retailers all over the UK, including professional hairdressing services as well as hair care products, hair colouring and associated sundries.

The firm is now planning a new manufacturing facility in Hartlepool, to be based on the Queens Meadow Business Park.
The company was first set up in the Innovation Centre on the Queens Meadow Business Park in 2012.
As well as supplying hairdressing products to the industry, Rob Collier’s company takes the idea even further by developing products as well.
And now it is going to do it all from a base in Rob’s hometown.
Rob is Hartlepool born and bred and hails originally from Throston. He now lives with his wife and two children in the Bishop Cuthbert area.
He told Business Update: “We are just about to go in to our new production plant. We have just ordered the machinery to go in it and within the next 12 weeks, it will be live.
“We have located a factory outlet on the Queens Meadow Business Park and within the next couple of weeks, we will look to recruit to get the right people in.”
He said the initial recruitment drive would be for up to five people, but Rob added: “In the next 12 months, we could double that figure.”
Rob said the need to manufacture products in the UK was because of a shortage of products made in Europe.
He said that manufacturing his own goods from a base in Hartlepool meant quality control could be totally handled from his own hometown.
“We have looked at the costings and thought ‘we can do this’. At least we can be hands-on and keep costs down.”
Advanced Retail Solutions is already an award winner after collecting the Best Small Business trophy and Most Promising New Business at the recent Hartlepool Business Awards.
Being an entrepreneur is something that Rob has known all his life.
Even as a teenager, he was a middle man, selling websites on behalf of businesses.
He’s done window cleaning rounds and business clearly runs in his family, as his grandad Matthew Paylor had a company called Paylors Timber Merchants.
