TWO Hartlepool firms have proved they are the cream of the crop after landing top honours at a glittering awards ceremony.

Hart Innovations, based on Queens Meadow Business Park, walked off with the Innovation Award after impressing the judges with their developments.

Gus Robinson Developments, a local and national construction company based in Stranton House, West View Road, was also celebrating after winning the Heart of the Community Award.

That honour was handed out in recognition of the work the firm does in the community, most notably through the Gus Robinson Foundation and also the creation of a gym within the company HQ which is used by local residents.

Alexander Ebinger, dead of research and development for Hart Innovations, said: “A lot of hard work has gone into our projects, and it is fantastic to be recognised in this way.”

And Steve Bell, land and development director for Gus Robinson Developments, added: “To be recognised as the winner of the whole region is something we are extremely proud of.

“Our work in the community is something that as a business we feel very strongly about.

“So it goes without saying it is fantastic to have that work recognised.”
