A Hartlepool company is hoping to lift a national title in a competition with more than 7,000 entries.

Sedgefield Windows, based in Ullswater Road in the town, has reached the finals of the G15 Awards after being shortlisted for the installer of the year category.

Mark Hughes, owner and managing director of Sedgefield Windows, said: “We are delighted to become finalists of the G15 Awards. This is down to the hard working team we have and it’s fantastic that their hard work has been recognised. Our focus is always on our customers ensuring that they get the best service”.

The flourishing company is also getting ready to open a new showroom which will be in York Road in Hartlepool.

Mr Hughes added: “We have also employed more staff from the local area which also includes an apprentice.”

The company has also expanded its range of products and Mr Hughes said: “We have gone through change as a business by offering new products and opening our new showroom in York Road but our focus is always on the customer.

“We are still a family run business with no salesmen, to ensure you get the best product at the right price.”

The G-Awards finals will be held on Friday, November 27, and will take place at the Hilton, in Park Lane in London. Sedgefield Windows’ products include energy efficient windows and doors, vertical sliders, tilt and turn windows and bi-fold doors in PVC-u.

It also fabricates and installs high specification conservatories, orangeries and sun rooms.
