A TEES Valley business has taken on a keen sportsman as the latest addition to its team.
James Hay, from Hartlepool, is the latest recruit at Odyssey Systems which is a business-to-business telecommunications provider.
James, a keen basketball player and football fan, spent the past five years as a team leader with Cable & Wireless, helping support services such as web mail for an NHS client before joining Odyssey, which is based at Preston Farm, Stockton.
Odyssey director Christine Gilbert welcomed his arrival and said: “The popularity of VoIP telephone systems has resulted in an increased demand for high quality broadband with excellent support resulting in the need to expand our team with the appointment of James.”
James said: “The work at Odyssey Systems is particularly varied. The team works together to help support the company’s 1,300 clients, ensuring all our customers always have access to a wealth of knowledge and experience.”
Mike Odysseas, managing director and founder of Odyssey Systems, said: “James is a great addition to the team and brings a great deal of experience of working on different types of systems for varying clients, which will help him to play a significant part in our company.”
Odyssey Systems was established in 1987 and now works with businesses of all sizes across the North of England.
The company employs 29 people at its privately-owned site in Preston Farm.
