Jobs created as new Screwfix DIY store opens in Hartlepool

TWELVE jobs have been created with the opening of a DIY store.

Screwfix has opened its first store in Stranton, Hartlepool, and says it will allow tradesmen in the area to conveniently purchase products at a time and place that suits them.

The Hartlepool outlet Screwfix’s 285th store to open and will ensure that tradesmen have access to more than 11,000 tools, accessories and hardware products at their fingertips.

Screwfix store manager Michelle Hunt said: “This is our first store in Hartlepool and it is great news, creating 12 jobs locally and giving tradesmen better access to all the trade essentials in one place so they are fully prepared for any job.

“At Screwfix we pride ourselves on the speed, reliability and convenience of our service and are looking forward to welcoming the tradesmen of Hartlepool, as well as local experienced DIY-er’s who are also part of our loyal customer base.”

The store in Hartlepool offers customers a quick and easy way to purchase products by selecting items from the catalogue and using Screwfix’s Click & Collect service to check they are in stock, customers can collect their purchases five minutes later from the store.
