A HARTLEPOOL entrepreneur is continuing to enjoy links with celebrities as her business goes from strength to strength.

Michelle Taylor is the lingerie designer whose business took off after winning a Hartlepool Mail-backed competition – and she has never looked back.

Since then, her firm has become known throughout the world and she now has a new celebrity connection to add to a growing reputation.

Michelle, who lives in Hartlepool, said she was asked to provide lingerie for a photoshoot featuring one of America’s top models and actresses.

Michelle, 36, said: “We were thrilled to be approached by the fashion editor of one of the USA’s top luxury magazines, asking for us to send some of our new range to be included in a cover shoot with the world famous and body of the moment Kim Kardashian.”

Michelle said she had planned to send samples to the States for the shoot although the date for it to be published has yet to be confirmed.

It is the latest link with the stars for Michelle.

In October last year, we told how Jess Wright from The Only Way Is Essex was selling Michelle’s range of designer products in her Essex store.

Tallulah Love, which is owned and run by Michelle, has also featured in a photo shoot taken by Tom Ford. Tom is the man who turned around the fortunes of the Gucci fashion house.

Michelle’s rise to prominence has been meteoric.

She launched her company called Tallulah Love Luxury Lingerie in 2009 and has since clinched contracts in countries including Germany, Italy, Holland, the United Arab Emirates and Japan.

Now, her lingerie range is so popular she is having to outsource work to distributors in France, Russia, and South Africa.

She is also involved in trade with Australia, Japan and the USA and needs to use distributors to cope with demand.

Michelle’s business is based in Gateshead although she now lives back in her home town.

Michelle first hit the headlines in 2008 when she won the Hartlepool Mail-backed If We Can, You Can competition against tough opposition.

Since then, she has also been a finalist in the UK Lingerie Awards, and the winner of the Best New Business title at the Women Into The Network competition.

She has also been runner-up in the Best International Business Woman
competition.
