STAFF face an anxious wait to see if their jobs can be saved after a company stepped in to save an ailing retailer.
As reported in the Mail last week, the Game Group – which runs Game and Gamestation stores in Hartlepool and Peterlee – slipped into administration after falling into financial difficulty.
The Hartlepool store employed eight staff, with nine working in Peterlee.
But those jobs could now be saved after it emerged OpCapita had snapped up the firm to safeguard more than 3,000 jobs across the UK.
Workers were expected to be told today how the takeover will impact on their jobs.
