THERE’S a Trophy on the way to Hartlepool United after the club agreed a sponsorship deal with a neighbouring business.
Pools chiefs have agreed a deal with Camerons Brewery which sees the Stockton Street firm take over the name of a stand as well as becoming the official beer supplier to the club on matchdays.
From now on, the main stand at Victoria Park will be known as the Cyril Knowles Camerons Brewery Stand.
Fans will also raise a glass to the news that the firm’s flagship beer, Camerons Trophy, will be served in the bars and hospitality suites around the ground.
Camerons have been heavily involved with the club over the years, acting as shirt sponsors in the 1990s, and Pools chief executive Russ Green is delighted to welcome the brewer back on board.
Mr Green said: “It’s fantastic to be back in partnership with Camerons who have been associated with the Club for many years, historically.
“They have gone through a re-branding process in recent times and we’re delighted they are working with Hartlepool United to promote this to the community.
“We really appreciate the backing they have given to the football club as stand sponsor and beer supplier and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”
Chris Soley, director and general manager at Camerons Brewery, added: “We are delighted to once again be working with Hartlepool United Football Club.
“The brewery is celebrating its 150 year anniversary in 2015 and it is fantastic we are back working in partnership with our local football club.
“We are really excited to have this relationship with Hartlepool United again and look forward to a long-term sponsorship which we hope will see great success for the team.”
