A HARTLEPOOL dance school is enjoying a year filled with achievements and bosses say there’s plenty more on the way.
It’s been a busy start to the year at the Amy Richardson Studios in town.
And with four months of the year behind them, the school can already boast four dancers who have excelled and become regional finalists.
A spokesman for the school said: “We had four regional championship finalists so far in 2015.
“They are Lucy Donnelly, Charlotte Godfrey, Tiffany Pitman and Jasmine Richardson.”
But the success goes even further. Another of Amy’s students is Callum Rayment, and he has qualified for the finals of Master Dance 2015 to be held in Blackpool.”
As well as competition successes, the Amy Richardson Studios is also getting ready for a forthcoming show.
The spokesman said: “We have also been rehearsing for our second showcase which is called The Next Step.”
The show begins on Wednesday, April 29 and runs until Saturday, May 2.
All performances will be held at the Town Hall Theatre in Raby Road. Shows will start at 6.45pm and run until 9.45pm each evening.
There will also be a Saturday matinee which will start at 2pm and last until 3pm.
Organisers have described The Next Step as “a full variety show, with dancing and singing across all genres.”
They said the programme would include “musical theatre adaptations of Miss Saigon, Oliver, Billy Elliot and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There is something for everyone and all ages.”
The cast of Amy Richardson students includes children of all ages.
The spokesman added: “Our students range from the ages of 18 months and up and the work they have put in to this show is fantastic.”
Tickets are available priced £9 and £10 from the theatre box office, which can be contacted on (01429) 890000.
