A SOCIAL group is planning a night of music, raffles, pies and peas to help brave Callum Smith.
Members of the Butterflies group are planning a charity night at the Supporters Club in Duke Street, Hartlepool, on Friday August 23, from 7.30pm.
They hope to raise at least £200 for the little boy whose story has touched the hearts of Mail readers.
Callum, who is aged 22 months, has epilepsy and numerous other condition. In his short life, he has been in hospital almost as often as at home.
The Mail, in association with Hartlepool charity Epilepsy Outlook, recently passed the £5,000 target to pay for a sensory room for Callum.
But the fight to raise even more money goes on as Callum will have many needs for years to come.
Organiser Barbara Scott said: “One of Callum’s relations is in our Butterflies group. All we want is for people to come along and help us raise some money.”
Tickets are £5 for an event which will include live entertainment with six singers as well as raffles.
Butterflies is a group which meets for gatherings and trips away, as well as helping to organise various charity events.
