Job joy for dedicated Kimberley

Kimberley Whitton.

Kimberley Whitton.

FOR dedicated Kimberley Whitton the hard work paid off when she landed a job last year.

The 23-year-old was left devastated after Savers, in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre where she worked, closed down.

The former Dyke House Sports and Technology College student was referred to Triage where staff worked to rebuild her confidence and find work again.

And around nine months ago Kimberley was offered a part-time contract at fashion store Internacionale, also in Middleton Grange.

“If it wasn’t for Triage I think I would still be looking for work now,” said Kimberley, who lives at Seaton Carew with her parents, Toni and Glen.

“I always wanted to work in retail and I absolutely love my job.

“I want to stay with Internacionale and work my way up as high as I can.”

Lucy Fox, performance manager at Triage who worked closely with Kimberley and helped her secure the role, said: “We are still working with Kimberley in her position at Internacionale and she is now really settled in the role.

“She has proven herself to be an excellent team player and the fact she is still working there nine months later shows this has been an excellent job match.

“Kimberley is evidence of the success young people can achieve through the programme.”
