PROUD mum Paula Coomer is singing the praises of her talented daughter Sophie Stokle.

Paula believes 16-year-old Sophie is hitting all of the right notes in her bid to become a star.

The 48-year-old doting mum, who lives with Sophie in the Owton Manor area of Hartlepool, has put her daughter forward for a Pride of Hartlepool Award for her sheer determination and dedication.

Sophie, who first sang to a live audience at the sprawling MetroCentre shopping complex at the age of just seven, is due to audition for X-Factor 2012 and is hopeful of progressing on the TV show.

Paula said: “Her dream is to be a successful singer and she puts 100 per cent into everything she does to achieve that.

“Singing means the world to her and everyone is unbelievably proud of her.

“She has been blessed with an amazing voice and there’s never a day goes by when she’s not singing.

“Her dream is to be successful and she is so determined to make it happen.”

The Hartlepool Mail Pride of Hartlepool Awards honour those exceptional people who make the town the place it is.
