A ‘devastated’ schoolgirl is appealing for help her find missing teddy ‘Woofy’.
Little Nicole Dawkins is unable to sleep at night after the loss of her beloved stuffed dog Woofy earlier this week.
The eight-year-old from Studley Road, Hartlepool, lost her favourite ted as she was leaving her nana’s house in Jowitt Road at around 11am on Monday.
Grandmother Sandra Dawkins believed Woofy was dropped somewhere between getting in the car outside her nana’s home and getting out of the car to go in her house in Studely Road.
Now the little girl and her family are appealing for kind-hearted members of the public to help her find Woofy.
“He is a little soft dog who is tan and white in colour and has a little silver bell round his neck,” Sandra said.
“She has had him since she was born and she is going to be nine this year.
“She is devastated and cries at night.
“It was her first teddy and I don’t think she has had a night without him - she even takes him on holiday.
“They probably don’t make them any more.
“I’m really upset for her.”
If anyone has seen Woofy, please call Sandra Dawkins on 07759172805.
There will be a £20 reward.
