VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help with a charity’s annual collection.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is on the lookout for Hartlepool residents to help with the annual great Daffodil Appeal by delivering and harvesting daffodil collection boxes.
Boxes are delivered, full of daffodil pins, in February and will then need to be collected in April.
The collected daffodil boxes then provide a vital source of income for the charity, helping to continue specialist end of life care to terminally ill patients.
Anna Kirk, local fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “We already have some incredibly hardworking volunteers who deliver and collect these boxes for us.
“But without more volunteers in some local communities helping us, it can be really difficult for us to ensure those donations are collected in after the appeal and put towards generating more nursing care.”
