CARING Grace Ava Haran is all set to get her beautiful waist-length locks chopped off for charity tonight.
The kind-hearted 10-year-old is going to have around 12 inches snipped off her gorgeous light-brown hair at a dancing awards ceremony.
The Grange Primary School youngster decided to have her hair cut but wanted to do it for a cause.
So after reading about other people doing it for charity in the Mail and online, Grace chose to have it cut and donate the hair and cash to the Little Princess Trust which makes wigs for sick children who have lost their hair.
Today Grace’s grandmother Christine Snowdon, 50, of Hibernian Grove, Owton Manor, Hartlepool, said: “I’ll be crying when she gets it all cut off because I’m so used to seeing her with her long hair, She’s got lovely hair but it usually takes two of us to manage it when she’s doing her dancing competitions.”
The mum-of-two and grandmother-of-two said: “I’m proud to bits of her and I think it’s lovely what she’s doing.”
Grace, who lives in Dowson Road, West View, with her mum Emma Haran, 31, dad Philip Haran, 32, and little brother Aidan Haran, 7, will have her hair cut at Seaton Carew Academy of Dance’s awards ceremony tonight.
