PAST and present Guide group members will gather tomorrow night to celebrate 70 years of guiding.

The 29th Hartlepool Guides reached the milestone this year and leaders wanted to mark the occasion by organising a memorable event.

They are inviting current members of the group, which is based at St Luke’s Church, in Tunstall Avenue, and past Guides and Guiders along to a celebratory service tomorrow evening.

After the service, which gets underway at 7pm at the church, refreshments will be on offer in the nearby parish centre.

The gathering will also act as a chance for members and leaders from years gone by to have a catch up and look back and share their memories of their time in the group.

A display of photographs from events organised by the Guides and various trips and residentials around the UK will also be on show.

Leaders of the 29th Hartlepool Guides, Brenda Kloed and Pamela Harding, are both thoroughly looking forward to the service and gathering tomorrow night.

They are hoping to welcome as many past and present guides and guiders to the event as possible.
