Chance to chill out and tone up

Have your say

PEOPLE have the chance to chill out and tone up in two new fun fitness sessions for beginners.

The two six-week courses are being run by Hartlepool Borough Council’s Sport and Physical Activity Team and take place in the Headland Sports Hall.

They are:

l Begin 2 Boxfit, which is aerobic exercise incorporating basic boxing techniques to help people tone up their muscles and lose weight. It starts on Wednesday, September 12, from 12.15pm to 1pm.

l Begin 2 Pilates, which is a chance for people to make some time for themselves as they try this therapeutic and calming technique. It starts on Tuesday, September 18, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Both courses cost £15 per person and must be booked in advance.

Rachael Pringle, the council’s sport and physical activity officer, said: “These two courses are very different but both are lots of fun and provide a great introduction to two fitness techniques which are becoming ever more popular.”

There’s also a special September offer running on the Begin 2 Gym programme, which includes six sessions any time or day at Mill House Leisure Centre, in Raby Road, an induction session, a techno gym key and an Active Card.

It costs just £25 for anyone signing up this month (a saving of over £20) and inductions start from the week commencing 10th September.
