PEOPLE are being urged not to “weight” to join a healthy programme.
The department of nutrition and dietetics at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the University Hospital of Hartlepool, is offering free weight management classes for people wanting to lose weight.
The 10-week classes are held at the following venues and dates:
l Monday, October 8, 9.30am-11pm at Blackhall Community Health Centre, in the village’s Hesleden Road;
l Monday, October 8, 2pm–3.30pm at Seaton Library, in Station Lane, Hartlepool;
l Wednesday, October 10, 10am–11.30am at Owton Manor Library, Wynyard Road, Hartlepool.
Community nutritionist Fiona Cutting said: “The exciting programme will feature different topics including looking at portion sizes, understanding food labels and weekly weigh-ins.
“I’ll be providing tailored advice to help people maintain a healthier weight and lifestyle.”
Anyone aged over 18 is welcome to join in the sessions.
