A BRAVE schoolboy who lost a devastating fight with cancer last year will be remembered at a fundraising night.

Little Dan Sullivan sadly lost his life in November last year aged just seven after a battle with acute myeloid leukaemia, an aggressive form of leukaemia.

Last year an event was held to support Dan, which he attended and was organised by dance teacher Kim Gough.

Kim, who is friends with Dan’s family, has now organised another event which will be held in Dan’s memory and will raise cash for Believe in Magic, a charity which provides once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for terminally ill children.

Kim, 24, who runs the Kimberley Gough Dance Academy, based in Baltic Street, said: “Our event last year raised £1,200 for the RVI, in Newcastle.

“It would be amazing if we could do even better than that this year in memory of an amazing little boy.”

Youngsters from the dance school will be performing in the action-packed evening at Avenue, in Lauder Street
on Friday, August 23, from 7pm.

Organisers are looking for businesses and individuals to donate prizes.

For tickets or more information call Kim on 07557 653630.
