KIND staff at a fish and chip shop are backing the fundraising appeal for Becky Bell.

Customers of Mariners will be invited to dig deep and support two fun games which will raise money for the youngster’s trip to Disneyland Paris.

One asks them to guess how many sweets there are in a big jar donated by shop Balloon Delights, in York Road, Hartlepool.

Another challenges customers to guess the name of a fluffy white teddy bought by staff of the shop in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.

Workers there have followed Becky’s battle closely.

Julie Corser, Mariners manageress, said: “A couple of the girls know the family and we want to do what we can to raise as much money so she can really have a good time.

“It is bad enough for an adult to battle cancer, so for a child it must be horrendous.”

Becky’s mum Julie Bell said: “It’s brilliant. We’re really grateful and thank them very much.”
