Christmas came early at a Hartlepool country park at the weekend.
Visitors to the visitor centre at Summerhill Country Park and Visitor Centre were treated to a readings from professional story teller Gary Cordingley, Christmas carols, crafts, and an outdoor explorer Christmas trail.
People were also encouraged to head along to the park in fancy dress or their best Christmas jumper for the festive sessions, which ran throughout Saturday and Sunday at the venue in Summerhill Lane, Hartlepool.
Outreach officer, Lisa Newton, said: “Everything went really well.
“We had between 50 and 70 children on Saturday and Sunday, plus parents.
“It was a little bit different and everyone seemed to have a good time.”
Summerhill Country Park and Visitor Centre offers sculpture walks around the park, ponds with viewing platforms, two children’s play areas, a free BMX track and climbing boulders and also offers indoor archery and climb.
