HUNDREDS of people got into the festive spirit and got involved with the fun at the Mail’s Christmas craft fair.
Youngsters left with a smile on their faces after receiving a gift from Santa while residents got the chance to cast their eyes over the dozens of festive-themed stalls that were set up at the Staincliffe Hotel, in Seaton Carew.
Families tucked in to delicious cakes that were on sale on the night while children also took part in a selection of Christmas games.
Visitors to the event also got the opportunity to enjoy fantastic performances from Hartlepool Stagecoach group and Holy Trinity Church choir.
Holy Trinity Church was also boosted by a tombola on the night which raised £250 thanks to the generous support of people who attended the event.
Angie Whitfield, media sales consultant for Johnston Press, said: “It was a really good night, everybody really enjoyed it.
“We had a constant stream of people coming in all night, hundreds of people came along.
“All of the children got the chance to see Santa. His grotto was decorated by Sharon from Flowers for Afar and it looked absolutely amazing.
“We had plenty of things going on and everybody told us how much they enjoyed it.”
