FAMILIES in Hartlepool received an extra special present on Christmas Day this year with the arrival of three bouncing baby boys.
Kirsty and Gary Riches are now proud parents to twin boys George and Henry after the pair were born on Christmas Day.
The twins arrived into the world at 10.06am with George weighing in at 5lbs 4oz and Henry 5lbs 9oz.
They were born at the delivery unit at the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton.
Meanwhile, Hartlepool mum Jane Starkie gave birth to son George, who tipped the scales at 6lbs 9oz after being born at 8.19am.
He was also born at the University Hospital of North Tees.
Staff at the birthing unit at the University Hospital of Hartlepool, in Holdforth Road, say they didn’t have any Christmas Day babies this year.
