A classic car show is being held in a village for the fifth year.

Greatham Sports Field Association is holding the event on Greatham Sports Field in Station Road, from 10am to 3pm on September 18.

Spokesman Ronnie Westmoreland said: “When we started, we had ten entrants and last year we had more than 60. We hope to better that this year.”

Categories of competition on offer include Best Car, Best Commercial and Best Motorbike.

Ronnie added: “A trophy will be awarded for The Best Exhibit in Show Also this year, there will be a trophy for the best scooter as we had a very good turn out of scooters last year.”

Other attractions on the day include a car boot and auto jumble sale with pitches at £5. People should bring their own tables.

Ronnie added: “There will be a food van as well as an ice cream van there on the day. We are also running our Summer Draw tickets which will be available on the day of the show.”
