COMEDY fans are in for a treat when a popular club returns.
The new season of the Hot Potato Comedy Club kicks off at the Town Hall Theatre, in Raby Road, Hartlepool, on Saturday, September 29.
Comedians Nick Doody, Mike Wilkinson and upcoming BBC sitcom star Jason Cook will all be taking to the stage.
Meanwhile, in future months Irish charmer Keith Farnan, direct from Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Phil Nichol, and Matt Reed and Danny McLoughlin are coming back.
Peter Vincent, of promoters Ten Feet Tall, said: “We’ve had some amazing nights at Hot Potato over the last few years and we’ve got bags more to look forward to this autumn.
“Loads of comics we’ve brought here so far have stormed the telly on shows like Mock The Week, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of 10 Cats, so this is a great night out for anyone who loves seeing some great comics in full flow.
“We’ve got tons of highlights coming up.
“Nick Doody was handpicked by Bill Hicks as support on his final UK tour.
“Mike Wilkinson is a popular support for the likes of Peter Kay, Jason Manford, Ross Noble and Johnny Vegas, and we’re all looking forward to seeing Jason Cook’s brand new sitcom Hebburn when it hits the screens in October.”
Doors open at 7.30pm for the September show with the show starting at 8pm.
Early-bird tickets are £6 if bought at least a week in advance and then £9/£8 thereafter.
Tickets are available from Hartlepool Tourist Information Centre & Art Gallery, in Church Square, or by calling the Box Office on (01429) 890000.
