Coaching course kicks off
ASPIRING football coaches can kick start their training with a new course.
Hartlepool Borough Council’s sport and recreation service has teamed up with the Durham FA to stage the Level 1 course.
The course will comprise nine three-hour sessions and is aimed at both men and women over the age of 16 who have regular playing experience and are looking to start coaching.
Candidates will learn how to safely organise and supervise football activities, and promote and establish working relationships and high standards between players, coaches, parents and officials.
They will also get to understand the different aspects of coaching children, and adapt football activities for a range of age.
It will take place at Grayfields Sport Pavilion, in Jesmond Gardens, from April 18 to May 16.
At the end they will get a certificate valid for three years.
To reserve a place or to get further information contact development@durhamfa.com or call (0191) 3872928.
