CARE home residents are looking forward to a farm trip after an Easter fair was held to raise funds.
The Dinsdale Lodge Nursing Home, in Station Lane, Seaton Carew, opened its doors to the community for an Easter event that included a host of various items on sale.
There were cakes, bric-a-brac, tombola, a bath bomb and jewellery stalls, as well as a raffle, with prizes including Easter eggs and wine and baby goods’ hampers.
Around 40 people, including family and friends of residents, browsed round the stalls and took part in the raffle, raising £367 for the home.
The money will be spent on a trip to Tweddle Farm, in Blackhall, next month for 16 of the home’s residents.
Care assistant Lesley Mean said: “We had quite a few people through the doors and it was quite a nice day.
“We would like to thank everyone for all their help in raising funds to send residents to Tweddle Farm.
“They can’t wait for their special day out.”
