Days of fishing fleets and Navy vessels at Hartlepool docks

Today, we look back at the fishing, Royal Navy and maritime industry, and some of the scenes from times gone by.

From 1972, we have a photograph of HMS Rapid during a stop in Hartlepool. Did you pay a visit?

In 1978, HMS Shetland visited Hartlepool docks, while this 1979 aerial view is of the Seaton Carew coastline.

From 1983, we have a scene of fishing boats moored alongside the Hartlepool Fish Quay.

Do you recognise any of the boats and were you involved in the industry? Perhaps you worked in the shipyards or dockside?
