Who can tell us more about them? Two of our pictures show the visit of the Duchess of Kent to Horden pit in October 1944.

One shows her with miners safety helmet and overalls, and with regional commissioner Sir Arthur Lambert.

The second photo shows her in the pit cage with miners carefully watching.

Did you work down the pit? If so, what are your memories?

Next, the cloth cap and the banner depicts the colliery on the march at the Durham Miners Gala in July 1976.

And lastly, Horden Colliery Band is seen playing in June 1990.
