BOSSES at a car dealership have become the latest company to support Hartlepool United’s season ticket offer.

Drive Vauxhall, which is based in Burn Road, Hartlepool, is set to give away a free season ticket with every car sold until the club’s offer deadline of July 15.

Joe Palmer, Drive Vauxhall’s principle dealer, said: “The deal is the latest in a long history of link-ups between Pools and Drive Vauxhall, who last season sponsored the club’s orange away strip.

“We love being involved with Pools and we’re hopeful this deal will benefit both of us.

“It’s great when people in Hartlepool get a good deal and this link-up means they get that in terms of a new car and in watching their local team.”

It’s the second year in succession that Drive Vauxhall has offered such an incentive.

Pools chief executive Russ Green said he is thrilled with the dealership’s backing for the club.

He said: “It’s a magnificent gesture once more and ensures the people of Hartlepool get the best possible deal.

“Our partnership with Drive Vauxhall has been an excellent one in recent times and I would like to think it will continue for many years to come.”

Their backing comes just a day after Holiways Ford, in Brenda Road, showed their support by buying ten season tickets.

They plan to give them away as prizes to the first 10 people who buy cars from them from today to help them celebrate their tenth anniversary in town.
