KIND crafts experts have raised £200 for a local charity.
Members of the Heronspool crocheting group have been collecting money from their raffle for a number of months.
After raising £200, the hardworking group donated the money to the Hartlepool Blind Welfare Association.
The association, based in Avenue Road, Hartlepool, gives support and information to people living with a visual impairment.
Barbara Watson, who is the teacher of the crocheting group who meet at the Hersonspool Close Community Centre, said the team were happy to have helped the cause.
Barbara, 63, from the Central Estate, said: “As a group we do dedicate the money we raise to different causes.
“The Hartlepool Blind Welfare Association is a fantastic cause and we were very pleased to donate money to them.
Elizabeth O’Rourke, administrator for the Hartlepool Blind Welfare Association, said: “We are extremely grateful for such a kind donation.
“It is very nice to be thought.
“We do run a number of courses and the money will be a great help to us.”
