YOUNGSTERS had a creative morning at the library as they enjoyed a free craft session.

Children aged from five to 12 took part in the funky crafts session at Headland Library, in Middlegate.

The youngsters showed off their designing skills as they all got to work on creating their own dreamcatcher.

Jan Palmer, Headland Library officer, said there was a fantastic turn out at the session and the youngsters all appeared to thoroughly enjoy themselves.

She said: “It was a great morning. The youngsters all seemed to enjoy what they were doing and were all extremely talented.

“Sessions like this give them something to do in the half term holidays.

“It’s a bit different and it keeps them off the streets.”

Free read and rhyme sessions take place at the Headland Library every Friday afternoon, from 2pm.

For more information about them or any other sessions, contact the library on (01429) 268169.
