Appeal after robbery victim was attacked by four men

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in which a 28-year-old man suffered minor injuries and had his phone stolen in Hartlepool.

The man was attacked by four or five men in Peebles Avenue at the junction of Bute Grove and Kyle Avenue between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday, December 8.

He received minor head injuries in the incident and his phone was stolen.

The suspects are described as white males, aged around 25-years-old and they were all wearing dark clothing.

Any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Temporary Detective Sergeant Phil Agar, from Hartlepool Police, on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
