Arrest over Billingham store robbery

A MAN has been arrested by detectives in connection with a store robbery.

A 42-year-old local man is being questioned about the incident which happened at Toni Off-Licence and Convenience Store on Windlestone Road in Billingham, at around 6.50am on Tuesday, December 30.

The man is currently in police custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery at the store when a man said he had a knife and demanded cash from the till. He made off with around £150.

No one was injured during the incident.
