A BOY aged just 16 has been charged with attempting to supply drugs and money laundering.
The teenager was arrested back in December after a police raid on a house in Lizard Walk, Hartlepool, uncovered 2ozs of crack cocaine with a street value of around £2,000, as well as a quantity of cash.
He has now been charged with possession with the intent to supply a Class A drug and money laundering, along with a 32-year-old woman who he was arrested with.
The Mail reported at the time how a 14-year-old boy was also arrested.
He has since been released without charge.
Officers worked alongside the district support unit to act on information they had received and carry out a raid on Wednesday, December 1.
Sergeant Daryll Tomlinson, of Hartlepool drugs unit, said: “We are committed to reducing drug misuse on the streets of Hartlepool and would urge members of the public to contact us should they have any information on drug activity in their area.”
The teenager and the woman are expected to appear at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court next week.
