POLICE are seeking witnesses to an arson attack on a waste site.
A forklift truck, a tractor and the contents of a skip are said to have been set alight at Impetus Waste Management, in Seals Sands Road, Billingham.
Police say the damage caused will be “very costly to the company”.
They say suspects entered the firm’s grounds between 9pm and 10.45pm on Monday and deliberately caused the fires.
The Hartlepool Mail reported how three fire engines from Billingham and Stockton were called to the site to tackle the blaze.
Anyone with information about the incident or anyone who may have seen anyone or any suspicious vehicles in the area around the time is asked to contact Detective Constable Jonathan Hagen, of Stockton CID, on the non-emergency 101 number or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
