A TEENAGER needed plastic surgery after part of his ear was almost bitten off in a sickening attack.
The 18-year-old suffered the gruesome injury outside the Victoria Arms pub, in Northgate, on Hartlepool’s Headland.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault that took place at around 11pm on Sunday, April 8.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “The victim and a 16-year-old girl were outside of the Victoria Arms, on the Headland, in Hartlepool.
“An altercation took place with another man and woman who allegedly went on to assault the victim and the 16-year-old girl.”
A 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further enquiries.
