CANNABIS worth thousands of pounds has been taken off the streets after police executed two warrants in East Durham.
Peterlee Police discovered 21 plants at a house in Tees Street, Horden, after searching the address at around 8am on Friday.
Police say the plants had just been cropped and were in a hydroponic tent upstairs.
Nobody has been arrested yet in connection with the find.
Officers carried out another raid yesterday on a house in Bowness Close, Peterlee.
The search uncovered two carrier bags of herbal cannabis.
There was said to be 20 ounces of the drug with an estimated value of £3,500.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of supplying cannabis.
