Car damage probed

POLICE are investigating after a car had its wing mirrors smashed or stolen on three separate occasions.

Officers are appealing for help in catching those responsible for the attacks on the maroon Ford Focus that is usually parked in Ernest Street, Hartlepool.

The first incident happened overnight on January 6 when both wing mirrors were stolen.

An offside mirror was then stolen on the night of January 21, before the nearside mirror was damaged overnight on January 24.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “The car has been damaged on three separate occasions and we would appeal for help to catch those responsible.”
