Car damaged by stone-throwing teenagers in Hartlepool

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car was badly damaged by teenagers throwing stones.

The side window and windscreen of a black Peugeot 307 suffered extensive damage when it was hit by stones in the Cleveland Road area of Hartlepool, near to the railway bride roundabout.

The incident happened at around 8pm on Thursday, August 7.

The youths are described as white, around 14-years-old and of slim build.

One was wearing a black tracksuit, another was wearing a blue tracksuit and a third youngster was wearing a black top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information are asked to contact PC Alexander Blackwell, of Hartlepool Police, on the non-emergency 101 number.
