Car dumped after ‘two-in-one’ burglary in Trimdon

POLICE are investigating a “two-in-one” burglary which ended in a car being stolen and dumped.

Sedgefield Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for information after a house was broken into in Hopper Terrace, in Trimdon Station.

Police say access was forced through a back window and an Asus laptop and car keys were stolen.

The male occupant’s blue Suburu Impreza was later found dumped on a footpath on Horse Close Lane in Trimdon Colliery.

The incident happened between 6.45pm and 8.30pm on Thursday.

Sergeant Alex Clarke said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident. We have done house-to-house inquiries and want to know if anyone has seen anthing suspicious around that time.”
