Child left traumatised after object dropped on car from A689 bridge

A CHILD was left traumatised after an object was dropped from a bridge and onto the car they were travelling in.

The windscreen of the car was smashed, following the incident, which took place as the car passed under the Castle Eden Walkway bridge on the A689 near Sedgefield.

The incident happened around 6.15pm on Friday, August 22.

PC Tony Burgess of Crook Police said: “This was a very dangeorous act and those responsible need to be caught.”
