Court Round-up: XBox thief and three others sentenced in Hartlepool

The following cases have been dealt with by Hartlepool magistrates. All addresses are Hartlepool unless specified:

Kevin Clark, 35, of Bodmin Grove, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. He was fined £70, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, ordered to pay costs of £180 and a criminal courts cost of £150.

Ashley Robert Rafferty, 29, of Wasdale Close, was found guilty of stealing an XBox games console and eight games despite pleading not guilty to a charge of theft.

Rafferty was ordered to pay compensation of £100 and costs of £150.

Adrian Draganescu, 26, of Harehills Lane, in Leeds, was found guilty of fraud despite pleading not guilty.

He was given a conditional discharge for six months and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, costs of £200 and a criminal courts charge of £1,000.

Darren George Cannell, 32, of Christopher Street, was convicted of not having the appropriate television licence and was fined £55.
