A MOTORIST who was left fighting for his life after crashing into a wall is now “comfortable” in hospital.
A red Suzuki Swift smashed into a parked car and a wall in Sea View Terrace, on Hartlepool’s Headland, at around midnight on Saturday, August 20.
Investigators had appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward and want to speak to people who saw the vehicle before it crashed.
The 24-year-old driver was rushed to hospital with multiple injuries and his condition was described as critical. He is now said to be comfortable.
His passenger, a 24-year-old woman was also taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, with a fractured hip and is also said to be in a comfortable condition.
The car had been driven along Marine Drive onto Sea View Terrace before hitting the wall and car at the junction with Corporation Road.
