EIGHT people from Hartlepool are due in court at the end of the month in connection with a drugs ring.
The seven men and a woman, whose ages range from in their 30s to their 60s, have all been charged with drugs offences having spent over a year on police bail.
The eight suspects answered bail on Thursday, having been arrested in March, last year, in connection with cannabis and cocaine offences.
They have been bailed to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court. in Middlesbrough, on Monday, July 28.
Among those due to appear at court are five men, aged 54, 41, 37, 30 and 34, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Also due before justices is a 42-year-old man charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, possession of amphetamine and possession of cannabis and a 52-year-old woman who is charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
Also appearing before the court will be a 61-year-old man charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Eight people from Hartlepool answered bail on Thursday July 3, having been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in March 2013.
“They were charged with various drugs offences and bailed to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on July 28.”
