Hartlepool police seize cannabis during drugs raid

A MAN was given a caution after a drugs raid uncovered a cannabis haul.

Hartlepool Police searched a house in Jackson Street, off Oxford Road, in Hartlepool, where 15 cannabis plants were found.

Officers also uncovered drug paraphernalia during the raid, which happened on Thursday.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Police searched an address in Jackson Street, in Hartlepool, on Thursday.

“Fifteen cannabis plants were found in the address as well as drugs paraphernalia. A 32-year-old man received a caution.”

Officers from Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Team carried out the raid.

Police say producing cannabis can attract a prison sentence and they are urging anyone with information regarding cannabis production to call the team on the non-emergency number 101.
